About the company Our client is a software company. The role Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Act as the technical lead on customer implementations, combining hands-on engineering with direct client work. The role covers scoping early trials, tailoring the software to each client's environment and relaying field insights to product and engineering colleagues. What you'll do - Scope trial projects with new clients and convert their operational goals into technical deployment plans. - Ingest and prepare large volumes of messy, varied data for each client. - Tailor the product to each client's environment and write scripts or integrations where it does not fit out of the box. - Work alongside end users during their daily tasks and turn workflow gaps into product improvements. - Serve as the main point of contact for clients across the trial, contract signing, first renewal and account growth. - Share field learnings with product and engineering to inform the roadmap. - Collaborate closely with technical customer success and engineering colleagues. - Contribute to internal playbooks and hiring conversations. Requirements What we're looking for - 4 to 8 years of relevant experience. - Strong engineering skills, including Python and/or TypeScript, APIs and data pipelines. - Ability to ship small tools independently without an engineering handoff. - Comfort working in person with non-technical clients, not only over video calls. - Bias to action, comfort with ambiguity and an owner mindset. - Alignment with a public safety mission and government work. - Willingness to complete federal background checks and security clearance, with company support. - Based in New York City or the San Francisco Bay Area. Bonus points - Prior forward deployed, solutions engineering or implementation experience with clients who are not tech-native. - Exposure to law enforcement, intelligence, defense or e-discovery and forensics. - Familiarity with common digital evidence data formats. - Design sensibility and the ability to explain UX problems clearly. - Experience at a startup in the defense or public safety space. Benefits Compensation and benefits - Base salary: USD 140,000 to 220,000 per year - Equity - Medical and dental coverage - Retirement plan Location and work model - New York City, NY, United States or San Francisco, CA, United States - On-site - Full-time
