About IONOS At IONOS, we don't just manage servers – we shape the digital future for more than 6.2 million customers worldwide with our solutions. As Europe's leading hosting provider and a pioneer in independent cloud solutions, we are building next-generation infrastructure – from sovereign cloud architectures and high-performance GPU clusters to integrated AI automation tools. What drives us is digital sovereignty for Europe and real impact for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) as well as large enterprises. We work in agile teams, rely on transparent structures, and believe that excellence and innovation only emerge through true team spirit. Ready for your next step? Become part of IONOS and grow with us. IONOS is involved in large-scale initiatives to support modern technical environments where navigating complex public-sector compliance is essential — and we are looking for the right person to join the team to help ensure smooth project delivery. This fixed-term position (2 years, with potential for extension) sits at the intersection of technical execution and relationship management: you will coordinate internal teams while engaging directly with client stakeholders, partners, and external vendors. In this role, you will represent IONOS directly, work through structured organizational requirements, and keep key internal and external stakeholders aligned and informed across project lifecycles. Tasks - Own end-to-end delivery of the digital infrastructure programme — managing scope, timeline, budget, quality, and compliance from kickoff through completion, with early identification and escalation of risks that carry contractual, compliance, or reputational implications. - Serve as the primary point of contact for public sector stakeholders, institutional partners, and subcontractors; build and maintain trust-based relationships at all levels, including executive and ministerial. - Translate technical delivery realities into clear, formal communication for public-sector audiences, and translate public-sector requirements back into actionable direction for internal teams. - Manage formal reporting obligations, documentation standards, and audit trails required by the project contract. - Coordinate across internal teams including Product, Engineering, Legal, Sales, Finance, and Customer Care, and align closely with the Senior PM and CTO PMO to ensure the programme is properly resourced and visible within the broader IONOS portfolio. Qualifications - Degree or equivalent in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field — plus 5+ years of project management experience in a technical environment, ideally with exposure to public-sector or highly regulated delivery. - Experience navigating public-sector client dynamics: formal procurement structures, compliance obligations, and institutional decision-making processes is a strong plus. - You are energized by external stakeholder work where you build relationships naturally, communicate with confidence at every level, and are comfortable representing IONOS in formal, high-visibility settings. You can explain complex technical topics clearly to non-technical audiences and hold your ground with both sides when needed. - Strong knowledge of traditional and agile frameworks (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, Scrum); certification is a plus. Proficiency in Jira and Confluence; familiarity with Claude or n8n for workflow automation is an advantage. - Strong conflict resolution skills, high adaptability, and the ability to stay calm and structured under time pressure. - Highly proficient German at business-negotiation level is essential for this role — the vast majority of communication, reporting, and documentation will be conducted in German. Benefits - Hybrid working model, and flexible working hours through trust-based working hours. - At some locations a subsidized canteen and various free drinks. - Modern office space with very good transport connections. - Various employee discounts for activities and products. - Employee events such as summer and winter parties, as well as workshops. - Numerous training and development opportunities. - Various health offers, such as sports and health courses. Application Note We value diversity and welcome all applications – regardless of, for example, gender, nationality, ethnic or social origin, religion, disability, age as well as sexual orientation and identity, physical characteristics, marital status or any other irrelevant factor subject to applicable law.
