Gymnastics Instructor (18+)

JOB OVERVIEW This year round position is responsible for the organization and implementation of day-to-day activities in the gymnastics program at our Boulder Point Facility located in Montgomery, IL. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING - Age 18 years and older. - Previous gymnastics experience preferred, either as a coach or a gymnast. - Preference will be given to candidates with a bachelor’s degree in education, youth services, recreation or working toward a degree in these areas. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES - Comprehension of gymnastics skills and techniques. - An understanding of the principles of customer service. - Ability to organize and lead a variety of gymnastics programs. - Ability to take instruction from coordinators, upper level coach staff and implement changes or requests. - Ability to tactfully discuss student’s behavior, both positive and negative, with the student and parents. - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - Must obtain and maintain CPR, AED, First Aid, and DCFS Certifications. - Understand and exhibit behavior consistent with stated values of the district. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Teach gymnastics program. - Assist in the planning and execution of open gyms, and special events. - Assist in marketing and promoting the gymnastics program. - Serve in a professional and courteous manner with the highest regard to the customer. - Attend staff meetings and trainings. - Other duties as assigned by your coordinator and/or supervisor.
