Frontend Engineer

About the company Our client is a fast-growing software company. The role Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Take charge of the browser-based side of a software product as the person who sets frontend direction. You will turn design concepts into fast, polished screens, establish engineering conventions from scratch, and partner with engineers who focus on server-side work. What you'll do - Create the primary screens that business users depend on for day-to-day project work and for interacting with intelligent automation features. - Collaborate with a designer to convert mockups into accessible, responsive features that are ready to release. - Lead the client side from concept to launch, including shared component libraries, common patterns and team working practices. - Make the application feel quick by tuning how pages render and how data is held and fetched, and by designing thoughtful loading, error and empty views. - Agree on service interfaces and data structures with server-side colleagues. - Lean on AI coding assistants as part of your normal workflow to deliver quickly. Requirements What we're looking for - 3 to 7 years of professional frontend development experience. - A bachelor's degree. - Solid command of JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS and a modern component framework such as React. - A background in client-side architecture, leading frontend initiatives or building component libraries. - Experience designing screens for products with automated or intelligent features, where people check and direct what the software does. - A track record of taking user input all the way through to shipped changes. - Comfort using usage analytics, monitoring tools and recorded user sessions to spot friction and judge the effect of releases. - Prior experience at a startup. - Strong ownership, drive and the ability to work independently at pace. Bonus points - Having been a founder, founding engineer or early team member. Benefits Compensation and benefits - Base salary: USD 170,000 to 250,000 per year Location and work model - San Francisco, CA, United States - Hybrid, 4 days per week in office - Full-time
