You will serve as a MECHANICAL ENGINEER in the RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT GROUP, WEAPONS & WARFARE SYSTEMS TEST DEPT, INTEGRTD CAPS & EXT PROGS T&E DIV of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
Major duties:
You will serve as a developmental engineer within the Integrated Mission and Operational Test and Evaluation Branch.
You will evaluate data and determining acceptability of equipment modifications, validity, test procedures and data, or legality of operation.
You will be responsible for testing, evaluating, or developing new or modified engineering systems.
You will support professional engineers in performing experiments, research, and developmental activities.
Qualifications:
In addition to the basic education requirements, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DP-02 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Testing, evaluating, and improving new or modified engineering systems; 2) Developing structured test procedures and analyzed performance data to verify that equipment modifications were safe, valid, and legally compliant; 3) Collaborating with senior professional engineers to conduct complex experiments and evaluate advanced prototypes for state-of-the-art research projects.
