Job Title: 441 Activity Therapist 1-Milledgeville, Central State Hospital Agency: Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities Job Requisition ID: JR0000001687 Shift: Day (United States of America) Compensation Details: $43,784.00 Job Description: Under supervision, learns to plan, direct or coordinate therapeutic recreation programs. Activities include sports, gardening, dramatics, music, social activities and arts and crafts. Conducts assessment of a client's condition and recommends appropriate recreational activity. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a therapeutic recreation or related therapeutic discipline from an accredited college or university. Completion of the degree in the following: Art Therapy, Music Therapy, Therapeutic Therapy or Horticulture Therapy Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of job-related therapeutic recreation or related therapeutic experience.
