Litigation Associate

ABOUT THE ROLE Join a close-knit legal team handling general defense litigation, primarily premises liability. This is a long-term growth opportunity with mentorship, collaboration with senior attorneys, and a collegial open-door culture. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Manage a full caseload of defense litigation from inception through resolution. - Conduct and defend depositions. - Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, and settlement conferences. - Work with senior attorneys on trial preparation, legal strategy, and client communications. - Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and case strategy documents. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - Two to seven years of law firm experience handling a full caseload in defense litigation. - Experience appearing before judges, attending court conferences, and navigating New York courts, including New York City and Long Island jurisdictions. - Deposition experience, both conducting and defending. - Background in premises liability or general negligence litigation. - J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the New York bar. - Strong drafting skills across motions, pleadings, and discovery. - Interest in a collaborative, mentorship-oriented team and long-term professional growth. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Base salary: $125,000 to $165,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available. LOCATION Hybrid role based in New York City, New York, with an in-office onboarding period and flexible hybrid work afterward.
