Sobre el empleo
Residents Medical Group and edYOU Technologies are seeking a creative, results-driven Government Funding & Business Development Manager to transform how we discover, pursue, and secure funding. This is not a traditional grants administrator role – we need a strategic revenue generator who builds relationships, thinks outside the box, and leverages every available pathway to bring new money into the organization.
You will lead our expansion into federal, state, and local funding avenues, driving revenue growth through government contracts and grants that support our medical residency/fellowship placement and AI-driven ed-tech solutions while developing the innovative, non-traditional funding strategies that others overlook.
Key Responsibilities
Pipeline Building & Creative Funding Strategy
- Identify and qualify government funding opportunities including contracts, grants, cooperative agreements, and Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs) aligned with residency placement, educational consulting, and AI-driven ed-tech solutions.
- Go beyond the obvious: Research and develop non-traditional funding pathways including public-private partnerships (PPPs), social impact bonds, workforce development incentives, Congressionally Directed Spending, state innovation funds, regional economic development grants, and ARPA-H/CHIPS Act education provisions.
- Design creative, blended funding structures that combine multiple revenue streams (grants + contracts + fee-for-service) to maximize program sustainability.
- Target agencies including but not limited to HRSA, VA, NIH, DOE, IMLS, SBA, and local health and education departments.
Proposal & Grant Writing
- Lead end-to-end RFP/RFQ/grant development: concept design, technical writing, budgeting, compliance review, and submission.
- Architect compelling, high-win-rate proposals by translating complex technical solutions including AI-powered platforms and GME programs into persuasive narratives.
- Collaborate with program, product, marketing, finance, and legal teams to produce polished, competitive proposals.
- Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of AI tools and actively apply them to enhance proposal quality, streamline opportunity discovery, and improve overall workflow efficiency.
Business Development & Relationship Management
- Proactively network with government program officers, congressional staffers, agency leadership, and foundation representatives to identify pre-solicitation opportunities and shape funding priorities before RFPs are released.
- Serve as the outward-facing ambassador for funding efforts – attending conferences, forums, and industry events to grow our network and visibility.
- Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with universities, hospital systems, workforce boards, and prime contractors to strengthen competitive positioning and create consortium-based funding opportunities.
- Pursue subcontracting and teaming opportunities on large federal healthcare and education initiatives.
Contract/Grant Negotiation & Compliance
- Manage negotiations to secure favorable terms and maintain compliance with all applicable government regulations including FAR, Uniform Guidance, and Grants.gov requirements.
- Oversee contract and grant execution, tracking deliverables, milestones, budgets, and all required reporting.
- Manage renewals, modifications, and audits with accuracy and professionalism.
Cross-Company Enablement
- Support Residents Medical in securing funding for GME expansion, hospital-based programs, international placements, and workforce development initiatives.
- Enable edYOU to obtain grants and contracts for AI-powered learning platforms, LMS integrations, underserved student outreach, and ed-tech innovation programs.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Monitor trends, policies, and the competitive landscape across healthcare, education, and workforce development sectors.
- Deliver regular pipeline reports, forecasts, and opportunity analyses to leadership using CRM and grant management tools.
- Continuously identify emerging funding mechanisms and bring actionable intelligence to the team.
