Your mission Your profile What you can expect About us We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Accountant to join our accounting team. The role is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in financial services. As a Trainee Accountant, you will assist in the preparation and review of financial reports and statements for corporate vehicles, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance. You should be interested in taking ACCA exams and serious about developing your accounting career. This is an office-based role in Jersey, offering the opportunity to play an active part in AVEGA’s growth and help shape our culture, processes and ways of working. Specifically, you will: - Supporting in the accounting of a portfolio of entities on day-to-day activity and correspondence. - Assist with the daily, weekly, and monthly accounting including bookkeeping, assistance in the preparation of accounting reports and Annual Accounts. - Reconcile cash, assets, investment and share capital positions records. - Maintain accounting records in accordance with internal controls and procedures. - Work with senior accountants and administrators to resolve discrepancies. - Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditor queries. - Help prepare reports and statements. - Ensure adherence to accounting policies and regulatory standards. - Undertake project-based tasks, internal or external, where necessary.
