We're looking for a **Land Surveyor – Infrastructure & Bridges** to join our dynamic project team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the precision and accuracy of surveying activities for major infrastructure and bridge construction projects. You will work collaboratively with engineers, contractors, and site teams to verify that all surveying work complies with approved specifications, coordinates, and project standards. - Conduct comprehensive surveying inspections and verification activities for infrastructure and bridge construction works, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and project specifications - Establish, verify, and maintain survey control points, benchmarks, coordinates, and levels before, during, and after construction phases - Verify setting-out and alignment for critical structural elements including bridge foundations, piles, pile caps, abutments, piers, retaining walls, and bridge decks - Inspect surveying work related to roads, earthworks, drainage systems, utilities, and other infrastructure components - Verify excavation levels, formation levels, embankments, road profiles, and finished levels to ensure accuracy and compliance - Review and analyze survey reports, setting-out data, level records, and as-built drawings submitted by contractors - Coordinate effectively with the contractor's survey team, site inspectors, and engineering staff to identify and resolve discrepancies in levels, coordinates, and dimensions - Identify surveying errors or deviations promptly and follow up on corrective actions to maintain project integrity - Monitor the accuracy and calibration of surveying equipment, verify calibration certificates, and ensure all instruments meet project requirements - Maintain organized and accurate survey inspection records, prepare comprehensive progress reports, and support project handover documentation - Ensure all surveying activities adhere to applicable industry standards, regulations, and best practices **Required Qualifications:** - Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related discipline, with proven experience in surveying inspection for infrastructure, bridge, or major civil construction projects - Proficiency in operating surveying equipment (Total Station, GNSS/GPS systems, Auto Level) and knowledge of setting-out procedures, leveling techniques, and coordinate systems - Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and analyze construction drawings and survey data - Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills with strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail - Professional surveying certifications, UAE project experience, and proficiency in surveying software and digital documentation systems is preferred At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
