We are looking for a Senior Logistics Manager, Americas Retail Operations to lead all retail logistics across the Americas. Oura is growing fast, with 100% YoY growth over the past three years, moving from zero retailers in 2023 to multiple major accounts today, with more launches planned this year. In this role, you will lead a team of two direct reports and own both sides of the business: sustaining and optimizing our current retail footprint, and executing flawless new retailer launches. You will own the retail logistics scorecard, drive cost-down strategy, and be the bridge between retail operations, our 3PL partners, and our internal Trade and Logistics teams. You will report to the Director of North Americas Logistics and work daily with Sales, Account Management, Planning, Finance, Trade Compliance, Global Logistics, and our 3PL and carrier partners.Sustaining & Launch Operations
What You Will Do:
- Act as the primary logistics lead for all Americas retail channels, optimizing existing accounts while onboarding new retailers in our pipeline.
- Evaluate new retailer routing guides and technical requirements, and set up our 3PL partners to execute error-free launches.
- Enforce compliance across routing guides, packaging and labeling mandates, ASN accuracy, and EDI readiness to protect brand reputation and OTIF performance.
- Drive operational efficiency to increase fulfillment speed and shorten PO-to-delivery time across the Americas.
- Serve as the escalation point for retail logistics issues, with clear root-cause analysis and corrective action.
- Financial Performance & Compliance Analysis
- Run cost analyses across Prepaid and Collect freight models to find the most profitable distribution path and map our true cost-to-serve by account.
- Create, implement, and own an end-to-end chargeback deduction and dispute process that protects company margins against retail penalties.
- Identify and deliver logistics cost-down initiatives that reduce total retail cost per unit.
- Own the retail logistics KPI scorecard, including OTIF, on-time delivery, PO-to-delivery cycle time, cost per unit, cost-to-serve by account, chargeback and recovery rates, EDI/ASN compliance, and 3PL performance, and run a regular business review that turns the data into supply chain improvements.
- AI & Process Automation
- Find manual, repetitive work across retail logistics, such as tracking, PO and ASN reconciliation, 3PL invoice audits, chargeback research, and partner updates, and build AI-assisted solutions that cut time and errors.
- Use AI tools to automate KPI reporting, data extraction, freight spend analysis, and status communication to retailers and internal teams.
- Translate operational requirements into structured prompts, automations, and workflows, serving as the bridge between what the business needs and what AI can do.
- Partner with IT and technical teams on larger automation and system work that improves real-time, end-to-end shipment visibility.
- Apply responsible AI practices: review outputs for accuracy, protect retailer and financial data, and know when AI is not the right tool.
- Evaluate new AI features and tools as they become available and recommend what to adopt.
- Cross-Functional & Network Collaboration
- Be the cross-functional voice for logistics, partnering with Sales and Account Management in commercial expansion discussions to ensure supply chain readiness.
- Partner with Planning on retailer demand signals, In-Stock %, and Weeks of Supply, and support CPFR conversations with key accounts.
- Work with Trade Compliance and Global Logistics to design the warehouse and distribution network for expansion into Canada and LATAM.
- Leadership & Team Development
- Manage, train, and mentor a team of two logistics professionals, supporting their growth.
- Build the team's AI capability: share what works, set standards for AI-assisted workflows, and help each team member automate their own recurring work.
- Define the long-term operating blueprint, scaling strategy, and structure for the Americas retail logistics team.
This is a remote US role with a slight preference for candidates based in San Francisco.
What you'll bring
- 7+ years of experience in retail logistics, B2B wholesale distribution, or supply chain operations, including 2+ years of direct people management in a product-shipping industry (e.g., CPG, Consumer Electronics, Apparel).
- Deep expertise in retail compliance and chargeback management, with a track record of analyzing routing guides, managing EDI setups, and building systematic processes to audit and dispute retailer deductions.
- Strong financial and operational analysis skills, including freight cost-to-serve models, Prepaid vs. Collect evaluation, and PO-to-delivery cycle time optimization.
- Fluency with retail logistics KPIs such as OTIF, OTD, fill rate, cost per unit, and chargeback rate, and experience owning a scorecard against targets.
- Proven, hands-on AI proficiency. You already use AI tools to get work done. Be ready to show us automations you have built, reporting you have streamlined, or processes you have improved with AI, and the impact they had.
- Experience working with ERP, WMS, and/or TMS systems, plus advanced spreadsheet and reporting skills.
- Strong cross-functional communication and influence, with the ability to act as the voice of logistics to sales teams, leadership, retail partners, and 3PLs.
- Preferred qualifications
- Hands-on NetSuite experience, especially sales orders, item fulfillment, and retail/EDI order flows.
- Experience supporting distribution in Canada and/or LATAM alongside Trade Compliance and Global Logistics teams.
- Experience building workflows or automations on AI platforms (enterprise AI assistants, Google Workspace AI, scripting with AI help, or similar).
- Ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt and context engineering, agent workflows) and a habit of staying current with new tools.
- Experience with responsible AI practices such as accuracy reviews, risk assessment, and data protection.
- Exposure to CPFR, demand planning, or channel inventory management (Weeks of Supply, In-Stock %) in consumer electronics or retail.
- Multi-channel fulfillment experience across DTC, distributor, and retail partner networks.
- A track record of building or scaling a logistics team in a high-growth environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
