Our client is a software company.
The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Drive product discovery and help set the roadmap for a software platform, partnering closely with senior leadership, engineers and end users. The work combines hands-on product use, customer research and workflow analysis with shaping and shipping features, including light prototyping with AI coding tools.
What you'll do
- Conduct user interviews and process discovery to inform the roadmap alongside company leaders.
- Use the product directly in realistic operating situations and convert what you learn into priorities.
- Work with product engineers on requirements and with AI engineers on evaluation approaches and datasets that improve reliability.
- Design and build small to medium customer-facing features with the help of coding agents and AI workflows.
- Review live workflows to confirm AI systems perform strongly across core finance operations.
- Guide interface and experience decisions with a high standard for craft and quality.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- Four or more years in accounting, finance or consulting, with solid knowledge of financial services or fintech.
- Prior hands-on work at a mid-level to senior rank in strategy consulting or professional accounting services, ideally at a well-regarded firm.
- Comfort collaborating directly with customers and software engineers.
- Skill at turning intricate finance processes into clear product direction and owning results from discovery to delivery.
- Able to work from the New York office.
Bonus points
- Background at early-stage startups or other high-growth companies.
- Strong academic record.
- Some feel for interface and user experience design.
- Having built a project using AI coding agents.
- Past experience owning a business, serving as a chief of staff, or working as a generalist operator.

- Base salary: USD 150,000 to 200,000 per year
