Senior Software Engineer

About the company Our client is a fast-growing technology company. The role Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Take full ownership of a set of product features, from discovery with internal and external users through prototyping, release and iteration. Build user-facing applications and the intelligent capabilities behind them, and stay accountable for how your work performs in production. What you'll do - Build internal tools that let staff serve many more customers without a drop in service quality. - Develop customer-facing portals where clients view their information and engage on their own terms. - Design and ship AI-driven features, including the tools agents use and how they are embedded in the product. - Work directly with internal users, observing real workflows to decide what to build and how to improve it. - Build systems that handle uncertainty transparently, with attention to compliance, auditability and data freshness. - Create data ingestion and migration pipelines that turn messy, inconsistent legacy data into clean, reliable inputs. - Keep production reliable, fixing issues promptly and holding a high bar for quality. Requirements What we're looking for - Experience shipping software at a top startup or well-known technology company, rather than an agency, consultancy or legacy enterprise. - Proven record of leading a feature area independently, running your own discovery with users and delivering without a product manager defining the specifications. - Strong ability to understand users and distinguish what they ask for from what they actually need. - Ability to move quickly without sacrificing reliability. - Collaborative, direct and low-ego working style, with energy for a fully in-person team environment. Bonus points - Strength in frontend or backend engineering. - Staff-level engineering experience. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. - Experience building generative or real-time dynamic user interfaces. - Proficiency with retrieval systems or agent frameworks. Benefits Compensation and benefits - Base salary: USD 200,000 to 300,000 per year - Equity Location and work model - New York, NY, United States - On-site, 5 days per week in office - Full-time
