🔎 Who we are Kyutai is a non-profit lab dedicated to open research in Artificial Intelligence. Our team is laser-focused on few, high-impact projects in frontier AI. Led by world-class scientists, Kyutai conducts cutting-edge research on multimodal, adaptable and compact models. Less than 2 years after its start, Kyutai has delivered several ground-breaking models: Moshi, the first full-duplex voice AI allowing natural spoken dialogue with latency under 200ms and no imposed speaker turns; Helium-1, a very compact and powerful multi-lingual open language model; Hibiki, the first voice-to-voice simultaneous translation model that preserves voice and can run on a mobile; MoshiVis, the first visual-speech model to allow natural spoken dialogue around visual content; Unmute, a voice AI that empowers any text LLM with voice, instantly, by wrapping it with Kyutai's streaming speech-to-text and text-to-speech.
