About the Company Our client is a well-funded Physical AI company, with more than $1B raised, building autonomous technology for heavy industry. Its autonomous haulage system is already live in production with more than 100 trucks hauling millions of tons across mining and quarry sites worldwide. The approach is modular and OEM-agnostic: autonomy is integrated into existing vehicles rather than replacing them. The culture is engineering-first, and engineers make the primary decisions that shape the company. About the Role Join a small, high-impact systems team scaling autonomous haulage deployments internationally. You will be one of the engineers shaping how autonomy runs on real vehicles in mission-critical mining environments, not in simulation. What You Will Do Integrate and validate autonomy capabilities on real autonomous haul trucks, taking features from prototype to reliable performance in production. Own system-level integration across sensors, compute, networking and software stacks during testing. Lead technical execution for new truck platform bring-ups across multiple OEM brands, including sensor integration, calibration and performance tuning. Build diagnostics, validation criteria and release gates for production readiness across a growing international fleet. Work with planning, controls, operations and safety teams to deliver robust autonomy behavior. Requirements What We Are Looking For Five to eight years in robotics or autonomous vehicle systems engineering, with hands-on autonomy deployment and systems integration on real vehicles. Strong Python and C++ skills and Linux-based robotics experience. Experience bringing new vehicle or robot platforms from prototype to production. A BS in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field. Willingness to travel up to 15% to customer mine sites. Motivation for physical AI and field deployment, with comfort in ambiguity. Bonus Points Perception interfaces and camera pipelines. Sensor fusion, calibration workflows or CAN interfaces. A Master's or PhD in robotics or a related field. Benefits Compensation and Benefits $185,000-$213,000 base salary plus competitive equity, higher for exceptional candidates. Visa transfers are considered. Location and Work Model Full-time and on-site five days a week in San Francisco. Relocation is fine.
