About Marvell
Marvell’s semiconductor solutions are the essential building blocks of the data infrastructure that connects our world. Across enterprise, cloud and AI, and carrier architectures, our innovative technology is enabling new possibilities.
At Marvell, you can affect the arc of individual lives, lift the trajectory of entire industries, and fuel the transformative potential of tomorrow. For those looking to make their mark on purposeful and enduring innovation, above and beyond fleeting trends, Marvell is a place to thrive, learn, and lead.
Your Team, Your Impact
As an Analog IC Design Senior Staff Engineer with Marvell, you’ll be a member of the Central Engineering business group. If you picture Marvell as a wheel, Central Engineering is the center hub providing IP to be used by all the other spokes on that wheel, including Automotive, Storage, Security, and Networking. You’ll be part of a small analog team making a big impact on this organization. Additionally, Marvell has the perfect size and scale for you to learn several aspects of engineering that will be new to you, but also have the time and freedom to dive deep into the details of your specialization on most projects.
What You Can Expect
Design high speed analog to digital converters. Design and verification of integrated circuit related projects and IPs. Investigate and implement circuits such as PLL, DLL, ADC, Regulators, amplifiers, CDR. Evaluate new implementation methodologies to meet required performance (area/power) targets. Responsible for efficient verification of design using simulation tools such as Hspice, Spectre, Matlab, with the aid of scripting for data collection and organization. Responsible for layout directly or guide layout engineer to correctly implement circuit design. Document design work and generate design related documents such as application specifications. Interface with digital and SOC teams to support design integration and to verify requirements and functionality. Work in the lab independently or with test engineer to test, characterize and validate designs. Provide support to customers and FAEs as needed. Wage $170,000.00 - $210,000.00 per year.
What We're Looking For
Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, or a related field.
Must have work/internship experience or completed graduate coursework/research in each of the following:
- Analog mixed-signal design with experience in electrical transceivers.
- Designing analog mixed-signal circuit blocks including PLL, phase interpolator, low jitter clock distribution, bandgap, biasing circuits, LDO regulators, amplifiers, comparators, filters.
- Building Verilog-A and AMS behavioral models.
- Analog mixed-signal concepts like mismatch mitigation, linearity, stability, low-power and low-noise techniques.
- Tx/Rx equalization techniques and circuits like de-emphasis, CTLE, DFE.
- High-speed digital circuits including serializer, deserializer, counters, dividers.
- System-level EMI/EMC modeling and analysis.
- Performing PVT and Monte Carlo simulations to verify functionality, yield, and design robustness.
- IC development lifecycle support, including system definition, validation, bench evaluation, correlation, characterization, and preparation for high-volume production.
- Bench testing and characterization of ICs using laboratory instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and related measurement equipment.
- Analyzing and interpretation of characterization data from lab and production testing.
- Collaboration with cross-functional validation and design teams to bring up, debug, and optimize silicon.

This role is eligible to participate in Marvell's bonus and equity plans, including a new hire equity grant and annual equity refreshers, ensuring you are rewarded for your contributions and remain invested in the company's long-term success.
