As a Product Manager within the Data Privacy Products team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products and services comply with global data privacy regulations and best practices across the Global Streaming Platform (GSP). Global Dormancy Manager (GDM) is a core privacy product that identifies dormant accounts and initiates the deletion across operational systems.
In this role you will combine strong analytical and technical expertise with product manager responsibilities. Your primary focus will be owning and maturing GDM, defining its roadmap and evolving the capability as deletion needs grow. Alongside this, you’ll contribute to the wider deletion strategy, helping shape how GDM fits into our end-to-end approach to data deletion across the business.
You will work closely with Product, Legal, Compliance and business stakeholders to define priorities, manage delivery, improve reporting processes, and ensure that the team continue to meet developing business requirements in relation to data deletion.
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the GDM product vision, strategy and roadmap.
- Identify future product improvement opportunities including automation, reporting and deletion orchestration across the wider data ecosystem, with the aim of achieving product parity and maturity across business propositions.
- Partner with Legal, Compliance and Data Governance teams to establish and maintain deletion policies, dormancy rules and retention requirements.
- Define requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria for new capabilities and enhancements.
- Work closely with engineering, architecture and programme teams to deliver roadmap commitments.
- Own the end-to-end product backlog and prioritization.
- Prioritize product enhancements based on regulatory requirements, risk reduction, operational efficiency and business value.
- Drive the evolution of GDM from a deletion engine to a scalable enterprise data lifecycle management capability, ensuring effective integration between related privacy capabilities.
- Act as the product subject matter expert for dormancy deletion requirements and controls.
- Support audits, regulatory enquiries and compliance reviews relating to deletion processes.
- Communicate progress, risks, blockers, and key decisions to stakeholders while building trusted cross-functional relationships.
