Senior Software Engineer, Design

ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for a senior design-focused software engineer to help create polished, intuitive experiences for a fintech product. You will combine visual craft and production engineering to make complex mortgage workflows easier to use. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Own the end-to-end design process, from wireframes in Figma through implementation in React and TypeScript. - Build and maintain a scalable design system and component library using shadcn/ui. - Develop accessible, production-quality React components with thoughtful ARIA, keyboard, and focus management. - Partner with product and engineering to turn complex workflows into clear user experiences. - Define and uphold visual and interaction standards across the product. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - At least five years in a design engineering, frontend, or full-stack software engineering role, with senior-level experience shipping production code. - Strong production experience with React and TypeScript, supported by a software engineering background. - Deep Figma knowledge, including libraries, variants, and auto-layout. - Experience building and maintaining design systems and component libraries. - Experience with Tailwind CSS and tools such as shadcn/ui; familiarity with GraphQL, Apollo Client, Vite, or Turborepo is relevant. - A track record in a fast-growing, design-oriented company, working on complex data-rich interfaces or polished consumer products. - A portfolio demonstrating high-quality visual and interaction design is valued. Experience with AI-native products or as a founder is also relevant. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Annual base salary range: $150,000 to $350,000 USD. Visa sponsorship is available. LOCATION Remote.
