Product Engineer, Mid-Senior

ABOUT THE ROLE Join a product engineering team at a Series A/B AI-powered workforce technology company, building software for staffing and industrial operations. You will apply AI models and agents to practical product challenges across a marketplace, while also taking on broader product and platform work as priorities evolve. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Integrate existing agents and frontier models into worker, business, and operations products to streamline vetting, matching, and fulfillment. - Lead frontend and backend development, mentor engineers, and deliver features from discovery through deployment. - Design and build real-time matching systems, automated vetting pipelines, distributed services, and APIs. - Own product experiences end to end in close partnership with product and design. - Work with technical and operations teams to identify high-impact problems and ship reliable solutions. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - Three to five years of software engineering experience, including ownership of products or features in early-stage, fast-moving teams. - Experience building and scaling customer-facing products, with strong product judgment and a record of delivering measurable business impact. - Working knowledge of TypeScript, React or React Native, Node.js, and PostgreSQL. - Experience integrating LLMs or agents into production products, including prompt design and tool integration. - Background in applied AI, marketplaces, matching or recommendation systems, or operational software is useful. - Comfort moving across frontend, backend, APIs, and deployment, and working through ambiguity with cross-functional partners. - Based in the United States or Canada and able to work on-site in New York City. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Base salary: $140,000 to $200,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available. LOCATION On-site in New York City, New York.
