Associate Attorney, Civil Litigation

ABOUT THE ROLE Join a collaborative legal team handling employment law, school law, and general civil litigation matters. You will independently manage cases from intake through settlement or trial, with support from paralegals and experienced colleagues. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Manage civil litigation cases from initiation through settlement or trial. - Draft and argue motions, conduct discovery, and take and defend depositions. - Attend hearings and handle bench and jury trials. - Meet with clients to develop litigation strategies and execute settlement agreements. - Collaborate with colleagues on case strategy in an in-person setting. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - At least 6 years of civil litigation experience, including motion practice and discovery. - Ability to manage a caseload independently with minimal supervision. - Strong legal writing, deposition experience, and experience drafting and arguing motions through summary judgment. - Trial experience as first or second chair is preferred, or demonstrated readiness to try cases. - Background in employment law, school law, insurance defense, or general civil litigation. - J.D. from an accredited law school and active Washington State Bar membership in good standing, or ability to obtain membership. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Base salary: $150,000 to $200,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available. LOCATION On-site daily in Seattle, Washington.
