Frontend Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE Build and scale the core user experience for a retail trading platform. You will own key frontend systems end to end, turning real-time market data into fast, clear, and intuitive tools for traders while partnering with design and backend engineering. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Build and maintain accessible, scalable web applications and reusable UI libraries. - Create high-performance interactive charts and real-time visualizations that support trading decisions. - Improve application speed and reliability through caching and performance optimization. - Integrate REST APIs and WebSocket streams, and manage robust client-side cached state. - Maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, previews, testing, and rollbacks. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - One to ten years of professional frontend engineering experience. - Strong skills in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, and the Web Animations API (WAAPI). - Experience building latency-sensitive, real-time interfaces, such as products for trading, gaming, or casino use cases. - Hands-on trading experience in crypto, perpetuals, or other markets, or frontend experience building for a trading firm or exchange. - Experience with REST APIs, WebSockets, and frontend testing tools such as Jest, Vitest, or Cypress. - A recent public GitHub history and polished live frontend work, such as a deployed product, personal site, or live demos. - Ability to write production-quality code independently and use AI tools to complement, not replace, core engineering work. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Base salary: $185,000 to $300,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available. LOCATION On-site in New York, New York.
