Sales and Service Technician

The Role We’re expanding our service department and looking for personable, mechanically minded Sales & Service Technicians. You’ll visit existing APS Foundation customers, service and troubleshoot the equipment they already have with us, and help them discover other ways we can protect their homes. Think part technician, part trusted advisor. If you like solving problems, working independently, and getting paid for the value you bring, this role is built for you. What You’ll Do - Service and troubleshoot customer equipment such as dehumidifiers, sump pumps, and related systems - Assess each property’s needs and recommend the right products and services, including ones the customer may not know we offer - Act as the go-to problem solver, finding the most efficient and effective solution for every customer - Partner with installation crews to make sure proposed plans are carried out smoothly - Stay current on products, techniques, and regulations so customers can count on your advice - Build lasting customer relationships through clear communication and great service What You Bring - A technical or mechanical background (HVAC or plumbing experience is a plus, but not required) - The ability to explain technical concepts in plain, easy-to-understand terms - A positive, resilient attitude: you can hear “no,” stay motivated, and keep going - Comfort working independently with minimal supervision - A team-first mindset when working with technicians, sales, and support staff - Basic computer skills (we’ll train you on our software) - Bilingual skills are a bonus, but not required Requirements - High school diploma or equivalent - Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record - Ability to pass a background check and drug screen - Ability to walk, kneel, crawl, climb ladders, and fit into crawlspaces for inspections - Availability for overtime when needed What You’ll Get - Hourly pay plus commission, so your effort directly grows your paycheck - Company vehicle, fuel card, phone, and iPad - Year-round, full-time work with no seasonal slowdowns - Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance - 401(k) plan - Top-notch tools, materials, and hands-on training - Real opportunities for career growth and development - A trusting, respectful, and upbeat team culture Ready to build a career where your hard work is valued?
