ABOUT THE ROLE
Join a small avionics team designing and integrating power systems for hypersonic flight vehicles. You will own critical hardware subsystems from initial design through validation and production integration.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Design power electronics PCB assemblies, including motor controllers, DC-DC converters, inverters, power switches, and power distribution systems.
- Own the hardware lifecycle from schematic design through bring-up, debugging, validation, and production integration.
- Define subsystem requirements and develop power system designs in the context of the overall vehicle.
- Develop high-voltage and high-current systems for actuators, power filtering, and mission-critical avionics power buses.
- Support ground systems power electronics as needed alongside flight hardware development.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 3 to 15 years of hands-on power electronics design experience, including motor controllers, inverters, DC-DC converters, or power distribution PCB assemblies.
- A bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- PCB design experience using Altium or an equivalent tool, with ownership from design through production.
- Experience bringing up and validating hardware, with direct circuit design or debugging responsibilities.
- Familiarity with SPICE and MATLAB/Simulink, plus high-voltage systems and EMI/EMC considerations.
- Background in aerospace, defense, automotive, robotics, or another high-reliability hardware environment is valuable.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or green card holder and eligible for a security clearance.
