We are looking for a Strong Middle Business Analyst to join a US-based product company developing a large-scale SaaS platform for manufacturing and construction businesses.
The platform helps companies manage their finances, resources, inventory, and core business operations. It also includes low-code capabilities that allow users to customize fields, create business objects, and configure workflows according to their specific needs.
In this role, you will go beyond traditional business analysis, taking ownership of product requirements, backlog management, and day-to-day coordination with the development team. We are looking for a proactive and independent specialist who can drive initiatives forward, make informed decisions, and ensure smooth communication between business stakeholders and engineers.
Responsibilities:
- Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for an ERP-focused SaaS platform.
- Translate business needs into clear, structured requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Take ownership of the product backlog, ensuring tasks are well-defined, prioritized, and ready for development.
- Proactively anticipate questions from engineers and clarify requirements before development begins.
- Analyze business processes related to finance, accounting, inventory, and resource management.
- Collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders to define priorities, resolve ambiguities, and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Make independent decisions within your area of responsibility and escalate critical issues when necessary.
- Track task progress, identify blockers and dependencies, and proactively address potential risks.
- Facilitate communication between the Ukrainian development team and US-based stakeholders.
- Participate in product planning and contribute to continuous improvements of the platform.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in software development projects.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, or similar modular ERP platforms.
- Strong understanding of core ERP concepts and data relationships, including orders, invoices, General Ledger (GL), inventory, and Chart of Accounts.
- Practical knowledge of business processes related to finance, accounting, banking integrations, and inventory management.
- Solid experience in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and functional requirements.
- Experience creating and managing product backlogs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions independently.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proactive approach, strong ownership mindset, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Experience collaborating closely with development teams in Agile environments.
- Upper-Intermediate English (B2+) or higher.
- Availability to work with a shifted schedule until approximately 8:00–9:00 PM Kyiv time to ensure overlap with US-based stakeholders.
Nice to Have:
- Experience as a Product Owner or in a hybrid BA/PO role.
- Experience with ERP implementation or integration projects.
- Experience with SaaS products in manufacturing, construction, or related industries.
- Understanding of low-code/no-code platforms and configurable business workflows.
- Experience performing functional testing to validate business logic and implemented features.
