Senior Python Developer

We are looking for a Senior Python Developer to help build and scale an enterprise platform for secure cloud infrastructure provisioning and management. You will join a dedicated team working on an enterprise platform, collaborating closely with the client’s engineers and partner platform teams. Our client is building an enterprise platform that enables organizations to securely provision and manage cloud infrastructure through standardized services, APIs, integrations, and automation. The platform aims to make infrastructure delivery more consistent, observable, and scalable across cloud environments. The team follows an iterative approach, delivering usable capabilities early, learning from real-world usage, and continuously improving the platform. As a Senior Python Developer, you will play an important role in shaping and developing the platform’s core capabilities, from backend services and cloud integrations to infrastructure automation and production reliability. What you’ll do in this role - Design, develop, and maintain reliable Python-based services, APIs, and automation. - Build and manage integrations with cloud providers and enterprise platforms. - Contribute to common interfaces and infrastructure provisioning capabilities. - Ensure production-quality software through automated testing, observability, and clear documentation. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform, integration, and production issues. - Participate in technical design discussions and architecture decisions. - Collaborate with engineers and partner platform teams to deliver new capabilities iteratively. - Drive improvements in platform reliability, maintainability, and engineering practices as the platform scales. We’re looking for - Strong software engineering experience with Python. - Experience designing and operating APIs, services, and distributed systems. - Hands-on experience with AWS services, such as Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, SQS, and API Gateway. - Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation. - Knowledge of automated testing practices and tools such as pytest. - Understanding of observability practices, including structured logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting. - Experience integrating third-party and enterprise APIs, including REST and GraphQL. - Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based development workflows. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to contribute to technical design decisions. - Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in an asynchronous environment. How to knock our socks off - Experience working with Azure and/or GCP. - Experience building and operating enterprise-scale cloud platforms. - A strong understanding of cloud infrastructure provisioning and automation. - Experience improving platform reliability, security, and operational efficiency. - A proactive mindset, eagerness to learn, and a strong sense of ownership. - Naming five or more dishes that include beetroot besides borshch. ✔ Not checking every box?
