Staff Frontend Software Engineer - React and Next.js

We're looking for a Staff Frontend Software Engineer that will be responsible for building fluid and responsive user interfaces for multiple platforms and devices, with an appetite for solving complex problems and building seamless user interactions to world-class standards. You won’t just be writing code; you’ll be a technical leader helping us define the future of our frontend architectures. We also encourage the use of AI to support your day to day work. We believe that sound judgment, problem-solving, collaboration, and accountability remain essential to a successful perforrmance, with or without AI. Requirements 🌿 What we expect from you... - Experience: Bringing 9+ years of professional engineering experience, with a heavy focus on high-traffic, web-native products (SaaS, consumer web, or large-scale digital platforms). - Web Fundamentals & JavaScript Core: Mastering expert-level Vanilla JavaScript and browser mechanics. You understand the core of the language, DOM manipulation, and how the open web actually works beneath the frameworks. - Next.js & React Architecture: Driving the architecture of complex React.js and Next.js applications (including advanced routing and server-state management). You deeply understand rendering strategies (SSR, SSG, ISR, RSC), caching, and transitioning or scaling within the App Router ecosystem. - Web Performance & Observability: Obsessing over Core Web Vitals, SEO optimization, and delivering lightning-fast, accessible user interfaces to a global audience. You are familiar with observability tools (like New Relic, Datadog, or Dynatrace) to monitor web performance, client-side errors, and API latency. - Testing Culture & Quality: Cultivating a shift-left mindset with deep knowledge of modern web application testing (Unit, Integration, E2E, TDD). You champion rigorous automated testing practices to catch issues early and ensure high reliability in production. - Agile Methodology: Thriving in product-led web teams with strong experience working in Scrum and Kanban environments. - Cloud Infrastructure (Plus): Leveraging cloud ecosystems to scale frontend applications. Professional experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud is considered a significant plus. - AI Enablement (Nice to Have): Creating the reusable frontend architecture, tooling, and abstractions that accelerate internal AI development across multiple teams. - Mindset: Being passionate, self-driven, and thriving in a self-organized environment where you take ownership of your career, architectural decisions, and product impact.
