Sales Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE Join a B2B AI company in a highly technical, customer-facing role at the intersection of Sales, Product, Engineering, and insurance brokerage customers. You will help prospects understand the platform, build and validate customer-specific solutions, and turn deployment experience into product and sales improvements. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Partner with Sales to design and deliver pilots that demonstrate value to prospective customers. - Translate insurance workflows into extensible Python scripts and agent skills, and own the technical architecture for customer deployments. - Configure and validate integrations with agency management systems, CRMs, carrier portals, and other data sources. - Lead technical discovery, demos, and deployments while supporting customer enablement and adoption. - Share customer feedback with Product and Engineering, and help improve the deployment playbook. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - Two to six years of experience in a pre-sales technical role, such as Sales Engineer or Solutions Engineer, working with account executives to support discovery, demos, and pilots. - Strong Python skills and hands-on experience configuring integrations and APIs. - Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical buyers and executives. - Experience managing multiple active accounts or opportunities and staying hands-on in a fast-paced environment. - Familiarity with AI coding tools and exposure to insurance, brokerage, or vertical SaaS workflows is valuable. - Experience at a high-bar B2B technology company or startup is preferred. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Base salary range: $150,000 to $200,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available. LOCATION On-site in San Francisco, California, United States.
