Quality Inspector Test Specialist

Unleash Your Potential The Leidos Defense Sector is seeking a Quality Inspector Test Specialist to support our Manufacturing portfolio in Huntsville, AL. In this role, you will work alongside a diverse team to inspect and test components and parts for DoD systems that support our national defense. Key Responsibilities - Inspect components and assembled parts before and after testing - Read and interpret technical documentation, test instructions, drawings, and technical data packages - Conduct internal AS9100 audits - Write non-conformance reports and lead investigations to determine root cause - Lead or participate in 5S activities - Instruct technicians on proper installation, assembly, and techniques Required Qualifications - High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 5 years of relevant Quality Inspection experience - Experience in testing and quality inspection - Experience leading operations or teams to complete tasks - Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with all levels of management - Proficiency reading and interpreting drawings and test plans - Working knowledge of common test and inspection equipment - IPC certification - Experience in an ISO 9001/AS9100 manufacturing environment - Ability to complete handwritten and computer-generated inspection reports - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word - Ability to work full-time with minimal supervision and adjust priorities based on workflow - Willingness to travel to customer sites to perform quality inspections - Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs - Residency in the North Alabama area, or willingness to relocate to the Huntsville area Clearance Requirement - US Citizen; Currently possessing an Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain/maintain as required. Preferred Qualifications - Previous auditing experience - Knowledge of the FAR and DFAR regulations - Experience with Government contract and SOW interpretation. Ready to make an impact?
