STEAM/Digital Design Teacher

We are looking for a Middle School Digital Design/STEAM Teacher for a bilingual international school in Shanghai’s Pudong district. This position is available from the upcoming 2027/28 academic year in August 2027. Job Responsibilities - Teach digital design and STEAM to middle school students within the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) - Guide students through the design cycle, including inquiry, developing ideas, creating solutions and evaluation - Develop practical projects that integrate science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics - Build students’ digital skills, creativity, collaboration and problem-solving abilities - Support students in documenting design decisions, testing prototypes and refining solutions - Assess learning using MYP criteria and provide constructive feedback - Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and promote safe, responsible use of tools and technology Requirements - Bachelor’s degree - Recognised teaching qualification - Previous teaching experience in China - Strong knowledge of digital design and STEAM teaching approaches - Ability to plan practical, inquiry-based learning within the IB MYP framework - Strong communication, collaboration and classroom management skills Benefits Salary and Benefits - Monthly salary of RMB 25,000–35,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications - Monthly housing allowance of RMB 6,000 - Annual flight allowance - Full medical insurance - Summer and winter holidays - Public holidays
