Primary Care Physician (Internal Medicine or Family Medicine) (MD/DO)- Alabama

Position Summary The Primary Care Physician provides comprehensive outpatient medical care to adult and/or pediatric patients, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions. This role emphasizes continuity of care, patient-centered practice, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Key Responsibilities - Provide comprehensive primary care services, including preventive care, wellness visits, and routine physical examinations - Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions - Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based medicine - Order, interpret, and review diagnostic tests, including laboratory and imaging studies - Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with clinical guidelines - Provide patient education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications - Coordinate care with specialists and other healthcare providers as needed - Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation in the electronic health record - Participate in quality improvement initiatives and population health efforts - Adhere to all clinical, safety, and regulatory standards Qualifications - Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) - Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency program - Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine - Active, unrestricted medical license (or ability to obtain licensure) - DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain) Skills and Attributes - Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities - Commitment to patient-centered, high-quality care - Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team - Proficiency with electronic health record systems Requirements Must maintain state certification and/or licensure
