Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE Join an AI and engineering software team building tools for designing physical systems. You will help improve the product experience and ship new capabilities as the team develops an agent-driven approach to software development. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Work with a frontend engineer to improve the product UI and accelerate production releases. - Take on increasingly backend-focused full stack work across features, infrastructure, and systems. - Own features end to end, including architecture, deployment, and reliability. - Establish practices for effective AI coding agent use across the engineering team. - Collaborate with forward-deployed engineers and AI researchers to prototype and refine product ideas for industrial customers. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - Three to ten years of software or full stack engineering experience. - Strong backend skills, capable frontend skills, and hands-on experience building complex full stack web products. - Experience taking products or significant features from concept through production, with high ownership in a startup environment. - Experience with React, TypeScript, and .NET, and enthusiasm for using AI coding agents to improve development. - Ability to debug and review code generated with AI tools. - Interest in physical systems, engineering design, CAD, or simulation. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Base salary: $200,000 to $275,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available. LOCATION Hybrid, with a primary location in Canada. The role requires one week on-site in San Mateo, California, every six weeks. Candidates must be based in the United States or Canada and authorized to work without sponsorship.
