The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Serve as a senior technical authority for multiple groups of engineers, dividing attention between system design and writing production code. The position carries full responsibility for large, multi-person initiatives from planning through release, helps shape direction alongside engineering managers, and grows the people around it.
What you'll do
- Provide technical direction to multiple groups, alternating between design work and writing code.
- Take full accountability for complex, multi-person projects, from defining scope and timelines through to delivered results.
- Partner with engineering managers to set technical direction for the most important initiatives.
- Build production-grade, backend-leaning services in Python and TypeScript with modern web frameworks.
- Own infrastructure projects from first design through release, strengthening the shared core services the product depends on.
- Develop colleagues across the company and define what good craftsmanship looks like in code and design reviews.
